Jeremy Johnson, M.D. – Assoc. Program Director

Dr. Johnson received his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He went on to complete a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University of Tennessee. He is double board certified in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Johnson has served on faculty as Clinical Assistant Professor at both The University of Tennessee Health Science Center-Jackson Department of Family Medicine and UAB-Heersink School of Medicine-Huntsville Department of Family Medicine, where he practiced full spectrum family medicine, including clinical responsibilities in the emergency department, inpatient medicine, and outpatient medicine. Prior to this, he spent seven years in private practice delivering primary care in a rural setting. He currently is an emergency medicine physician at Crestwood Medical Center and the associate program director for the Crestwood Family Medicine Residency Program. He is well versed in procedural medicine and point-of-care ultrasound.

After growing up in the local area he moved back to Huntsville, Alabama in 2017 and has enjoyed the growth of the city in terms of social and cultural experiences. He enjoys spending time at the lake, hiking Monte Sano and exploring the ever growing food, beverage, and music scene for which Huntsville has become known.
